I can't sleep....>_<

Damn those recent events.

In any case, since I can't sleep, I'll work on the topic I was thinking for a while.

Namely, Disneyland Hong Kong, something worth waiting for, or should we all go to Japan?

HK's Disneyland is the smallest in the world. Of course, we all know that the purpose of such a theme park is to attract visitors, not to build a park the size of a space station for us to have fun.

However, on the "charity enterence" day, otherwise known as "Public Beta Test A", 30k people came to Disneyland, expecting a day of fun and joy.

Sadly, they didn't find much, if any.

From the news reports, the place can barely fit 30k people. Organisers are now looking at 15k as tops instead. Here's why: Basically, you have to queue for at least twenty minutes to play even the most boring of the rides. It can stretch to over 2 hours to the rather famous ones. And by famous, I mean those fast rollercoasters, with those neat spins and whatever. Being an Adrenaline Junkie, these would hence be labeled as "famous", as after all, the crowd did love it, and people did queue up 2 hours to ride the machine, even if the ride if barely for 5 minutes.

If you want food, you gotta starve for another 2 hours or so. All the resturants were filled to the brim, and the fact that you are not allowed to bring any food into the theme park (Checking of bags at enterance, another 20 minutes wasted) does not help at all. Even getting hot water to make milk for babies has a queue which last for around 20 minutes.

As for parking, don't even think about it. The whole freaking carpark was filled by noon, although many would prefer a ride using the railway system (MTR), which would be a little cheaper, considering that the Toll and the Fuel costs in Hong Kong these days.

So, wait wait wait wait. Some people for so pissed, they left before the firework finale at 9.

Really, HK $295 (Roughly...SGD$60) isn't exactly worth it. Yes, it's a one day passport. However, toss out all those time you are forced to wait, and you will have barely 2 hours of fun. (Park is open from 10am - 9 pm)

At least, there isn't any major screw ups on the Park's testing day, unlike Hong Kong's International Airport, where there isn't water and electricity for quite a while in some areas of the airport. LoL.

However, I am not really looking forward to going to Disneyland this year. Next year, perhaps. This is due to the fact that the december rush from the Asia countries, especially during the Christmas Break, the time which I would most likely be heading back to Hong Kong. I definately don't want to waste my money just to queue up for 2 hours. Also, in the first year, it is not certain that all the rides will be functioning smoothly.

In fact, just by looking at the site, there seems to be only 6 rides, of which, only 2 looks interesting enough.

Of course, I'm not just there for the rides. There's plenty of stuff to be brought there. Probably a plushie or two would be nice (*giggles like a girl*), but I'm eyeing more of their T-shirts. Something which is useful, and which I can remind myself that "Hey! I've been to this place called Hong Kong Disneyland!"

Still, I will definately have to discuss this issue with my cousins, who would have undoubtly have heard some experience of sorts through their friends. Heck, they could have gone to play by themselves already.

Goddamn, I miss them.
